As a victim or witness, you are entitled to certain rights and services which are coordinated by the Victim-Witness Assistance Program.  We are here to help you.

Our staff will advise you of your rights, what resources are available to help you, or keep you updated on the status of your case.

If you are threatened, harassed or are intimidated by someone, call Law Enforcement immediately!
Ask that a police report be filed for each and every time this occurs.
 

Our Mission

The Effingham County Victim Witness Assistance Program (EVWAP) is the only agency in Effingham County to provide advocacy assistance to victims and witnesses of violent crime.

The mission of EVWAP is to provide assistance including referrals, advocacy and support to victims and witnesses of personal injury crimes in order to lessen the trauma of their victimization and empower them to become survivors.
 

Donate

Your donations are greatly appreciated and go towards providing assistance to those who have been victimized by domestic violence or other crimes.
All donations are transferred through PayPal.  Donating is very easy and you do not need a PayPal account to donate.

EVWAP is recognized as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations and gift contributions are deductible for Federal estate and gift tax purposes.
